In the service of the Queen...
"Cor" [kôr]: int. Brit. sl. expressing surprise, alarm, exasperation, etc. [corrupt. of "God"] "cor blimey": see "BLIMEY".
Usage: "cor" will sometimes be lengthened to "cor blimey" or "cor love a duck", depending on locale. "Cor blimey" is a variation of "Gawd Blimey" or "Gor Blimey". They are all a corruption of the oath "God Blind Me". |
